About Prime ESB01 Esbjerg Campus

Prime ESB01 is a proposed AI-ready data center campus on a 640,000-square-meter site at Nordre Tovrupvej in Esbjerg, Denmark, developed by Prime Data Centers with Brunswick Real Estate. Prime entered the environmental-impact-assessment process in March 2026 and describes a 160 MW IT first phase representing approximately €2 billion of investment. Subject to demand, permitting and grid agreements, the campus could expand to an assessed 550 MW IT with about €6 billion of total buildout investment. Construction of the first facility is targeted for 2027 and initial go-live for late 2029. The site is planned for national-grid power, is near six major submarine cable systems and may later support waste-heat recovery. The 550 MW figure remains a conditional full-build design envelope.
