About Kakao Data Center Ansan
Kakao Data Center Ansan is Kakao’s first independently operated data center, built on the Hanyang University ERICA campus in Ansan. The 47,378-square-meter facility entered operation in January 2024 with room for about 120,000 servers and 6 exabytes of data. Its 20 MW computing-power design is supported by two 22.9 kV utility feeds, redundant communications and cooling, fire compartmentation, rainwater reuse and waste-heat recovery.
