Scope and capacity

Google is developing Project Mica, a five-building hyperscale data-center campus on nearly 500 acres in Kansas City’s Northland. Port KC describes 1.56 million square feet of critical-infrastructure space and a full-build electrical requirement approaching 700 MW, supplied from the adjacent Nashua Power Station and onsite substations. The development is backed by up to $10 billion of taxable revenue bonds, a 25-year property-tax exemption structure and workforce-development payments.
