Scope and capacity
Equinix DB7x is a 1,322-square-metre data center under construction in Blanchardstown, Dublin. Equinix announced in March 2026 that construction had begun and expects retail IBX capacity to become available from early 2028. The company anticipates US$78 million of investment in the high-performance data-center facility plus US$14 million for a retail IBX buildout. DB7x is being developed on an existing Equinix site and, according to the operator, requires no additional grid power because it will use power already allocated there.
