Scope and capacity
Microsoft's first Fairwater AI datacenter became operational in June 2026 on the former Foxconn tract in Mount Pleasant. The first facility spans three buildings and 1.2 million square feet on 315 acres; an adjacent second facility is under construction for 2028.
